Springfield, MO - The Cardinals (21-25, 55-60) fell behind the Hooks (24-22, 57-58) early tonight and couldn't crawl their way out, as Corpus Christi rattled Springfield 10-4 in Game 1 at Hammons Field on Tuesday night. The Hooks lead the series 1-0.

Notables:
DH Jacob Buchberger went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run, and knocking in his 11th double of the season.
2B Thomas Saggese went 2-for-4, reaching base safely in all 19 games played as a Springfield Cardinal.
RHP Matt Svanson struck out 5 and allowed just one hit and no runs through 3.0 IP in relief.
