
'Caps and Bees Postponed

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Friday's scheduled game between the West Michigan Whitecaps and Burlington Bees at Fifth Third Ballpark has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The postponement becomes the sixth gameday a Whitecaps game has been called off since the beginning of the 2018 season.
With heavy rain throughout Friday morning and anticipated thunderstorms the rest of the evening, the decision was made to make up Friday's game as part of a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 6:00 pm. Both games will last seven innings in duration, with a 30-minute break in-between contests. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on Saturday will receive a 1996 Whitecaps Midwest League Championship replica ring, courtesy of Fifth Third Bank. Entertainer "Mad Chad', the Chainsaw Juggler will be in attendance as well to show off his incredible skills including juggling three running chainsaws in his grand finale.
Fans with tickets for Friday's game can exchange them for any home game throughout the 2018 season at the Fifth Third Ballpark Box Office, based on availability.
On Thursday night, Whitecaps pitcher Jesus Rodriguez carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before the Burlington Bees rallied to defeat the "Caps 8-6 in 10 innings at Fifth Third Ballpark.

The Whitecaps conclude this six-game homestand against the Burlington Bees with a doubleheader Saturday at 6:00 pm. Pitchers Brad Bass and Eudis Idrogo start for the Whitecaps against Bees righties Jeremy Beasley and Simon Mathews.
