Madison Capitols News Release

The Madison Capitols have acquired forward Tyler Grahme from the Wisconsin Windigo of the NAHL. The native of Bloomington, Minnesota, is in his first full season of junior hockey, which has been played entirely in the NAHL.

Head Coach and General Manager Corey Leivermann had the following to say about the acquisition of Grahme:

"[Grahme]'s going to be a tremendous, two-way center for us. He's very good on faceoffs. He's very good on the penalty kill. He'll provide some good energy for us in his role. He loves the game, so I think that he'll fit in well with us in this program. I think that he's excited to be here and to play some hockey. I think for him, he's that small piece to the puzzle that we're kind of missing right now."

Grahme has played in 21 games with Wisconsin this season recording eleven points over that span. Out of the eleven points, Grahme has registered four goals and seven assists. Last season, Grahme played in eleven games with the Minnesota Magicians, the franchise's name before they relocated to Eagle River, Wisconsin and rebranded to the Windigo. With the Magicians last season, he played in twelve games recording two goals and four assists totaling to six points.

Prior to his time with the Magicians, Grahme played high school hockey at St. Thomas Academy. With the Cadets, he put up 60 points in 48 games over his last two seasons. In his high school career, Grahme totaled 75 career points.

In exchange for Grahme, the Capitols sent cash considerations. Grahme will wear number 10 with the team.

The Capitols have also traded Pat Czarnecki on Tuesday to the Omaha Lancers in exchange for cash considerations.
