OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League have announced the acquisition of Defenseman, Patrick Czarnecki (2004) from the Madison Capitols in exchange for future considerations.
Patrick Czarnecki, 18, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan comes to the Lancers with just over a season of junior hockey experience.
In the 2021-22 season, Czarnecki represented the Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League. Suiting up for 47 regular season games and notching 16 points in the process (2G-14A-16P). On top of averaging a point every three games, Czarnecki also stayed out of the penalty box, as the 5-foot-10, 190 pound blue-liner only tallied 18 penalty minutes on the year.
The UMASS commit got called up to the Caps for only two games during the regular season in 2021-22, but was with the team as they captured the eastern conference championship, and fell to the Sioux City Musketeers in four games in the 2022 Clark Cup Final. Racking up 13 playoff appearances and picking up an assist in the cup run.
Czarnecki has played in 11 of the Capitols 12 games this season, as he sits at a +1 rating.
