Brockton, MA (August 5, 2008) - Facing one of the league's toughest starters for the second consecutive night, Brockton fell behind Quebec and Capitales' RHP Luis Valdez early in the game and could not avoid falling for the fourth straight game in a 7-4 loss on Tuesday night at Campanelli Stadium.

Quebec led from the very start of the game as the leadoff man RF Mike Goss singled to begin the game and scored two batters later on LF Alex Nunez's RBI sacrifice fly. The Capitales would add three more runs in the third inning off of Rox starter RHP Stevie Delabar, highlighted by CF Goefrey Tomlinson's two-run home run. Tomlinson hit two home runs in the game, including a solo shot in the seventh inning.

Brockton finally got on the board in the fifth inning when CF Josh Womack drove in DH Phillip Cuadrado, but the run only took a chip out of a 5-0 Quebec lead. Valdez was less than dominating in his third start against the Rox, and at times looked very much like the pitcher who took his only loss of the season against the Rox on June 23rd. However, he minimized damage and kept the Rox off balance, only allowing more than one base runner in two of his six innings.

Brockton and Quebec will play the third game of the series on Wednesday afternoon at Campanelli Stadium. RHP James Baker (3-3, 4.57 ERA) will make his first career start against Quebec RHP TJ Stanton (3-3, 4.01 ERA). Wednesday's first pitch is scheduled for 12:05 PM.
