New Jersey 12, Nashua 2 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

In game one of a doubleheader, New Jersey tallied 14 hits and cruised to a 12-2 win. The Jackals scored six earned runs off Pride starter Jarrett Stawarz in 3 1/3 innings and didn't let up against the bullpen as they tacked on six more in the remaining 2 2/3 innings. Stawarz took the loss and dropped to 3-3. Meanwhile, New Jersey starter Ted Serro was very effective in five innings of work, allowing just one earned run. With the win he's now 3-2 on the season. Newcomer David Urias played third base and hit a home run as part of a 3-for-4 night with two RBI and two runs scored. DH Luke Allen also went 3-for-4 in the contest for New Jersey.

Nashua 6, New Jersey 2 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

In game two, Nashua used a four-run fifth inning to earn a split with a 6-2 win. Doubles by C Chris Torres and DH Dorian Rojas plated three of the four runs in the fifth inning and gave the Pride a 5-1 advantage. Nashua RF Vinny Pennell added a run in the top of the seventh inning with a solo homer, his first of the season. Matt O'Brien turned in a nice performance in his first start for Nashua, lasting 5 1/3 innings and allowing only one earned run on four hits.

Ottawa 4, Sussex 3

Closer Matt Petrusek's control problems opened the door for Ottawa's ninth inning rally that saw the Rapidz down the Skyhawks 4-3. Petrusek walked two men in the ninth and surrendered an RBI single to LF Jereme Milons that tied the game 3-3. DH Nate Hall followed with a walkoff single that ended a six game losing streak for Ottawa. Reliever Reid Price pitched the final two innings in relief of starter Fraser Robinson and earned his second victory of the season. Sussex 2B Chris Brown and LF Alex Frazier homered in the loss.

Atlantic City 8, Worcester 1

Atlantic City belted four home runs and JC Huguet did not allow a hit until the sixth inning as Atlantic City beat Worcester 8-1. Huguet had a perfect game through 5 2/3 innings until a single by Worcester SS Chuck Jeroloman broke it up. Huguet completed six innings and allowed one earned run and improved to 8-4 on the year. Tom Cochran started for the Tornadoes and suffered his first loss of the year. The 3-4-5 hitters in the Surf batting order had a big night as LF Jason Hurst, RF Josh Burrus, and DH Clyde Williams all homered to drive in a total of five runs. 2B Brad Thoma also hit a long ball and drove in two with a 2-for-4 night.

Quebec 7, Brockton 4

CF Goef Tomlinson's two home run night powered the Quebec Capitales past Brockton 7-4. Quebec starter Luis Valdez allowed just three hits and one run in six innings and moved to 9-1 on the campaign. Steve Delabar surrendered five runs on eight hits in five innings and dropped to 3-3. Tomlinson finished the game 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Quebec LF Alex Nunez went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI and RF Mike Goss was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a run batted in.
