Canucks Recall Tom Sestito from Comets

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have recalled forward Tom Sestito from the AHL Utica Comets from a conditioning assignment.

Sestito, 27, has appeared in three games with the Comets this season. He also appeared in two games with the Canucks this season registering one assist (0-1-1). Last season he appeared in 77 games for the Canucks collecting a career-high nine points (5-4-9) and 213 penalty minutes.

The 6'5", 233-pound forward was claimed off waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers on March 1, 2013. A native of Rome, New York, Sestito was originally drafted by Columbus, 85th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
