
Robert Hagg to Join Team Sweden for 2015 World Junior Championships

The Philadelphia Flyers will loan D Robert Hagg to Team Sweden for the 2015 World Junior Championships, according to general manager Ron Hextall. Hagg will join Sweden as of December 21st to prepare for the tournament, which will be held in Montreal and Toronto from December 26 through January 5.
This will be the third and final appearance for Sweden at the World Junior Championships for the 19-year-old Hagg. He has helped Sweden to the silver medal in each of the past two seasons. He recorded a goal in seven games during last year's tournament, and in 2013 he posted one goal and one assist in five appearances. Sweden has medaled in the tournament in five of the last six seasons, and is trying to win its first gold since 2012.
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms return to PPL Center for a pair of tilts this week. First, Lehigh Valley is back at home on Wednesday night for a showdown with the Binghamton Senators. Then, the Phantoms enjoy their final game at PPL Center before the Holiday Break on Friday night when Lehigh Valley hosts the Hershey Bears. It's another Orange Out with all fans in attendance receiving a FREE Holiday-themed Phantoms shirt.

In their 19th season of operation, the Phantoms are currently in the midst of their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 18 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
