Canucks Reassign Thatcher Demko

Utica, N.Y. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has reassigned goaltender Thatcher Demko to the Comets.

Demko, 22, has not appeared in a game this season since suffering an injury in Vancouver's training camp. The third-year netminder has appeared in 91 career games with the Comets, holding a record of 47-30-11, a 2.55 goals-against average, a .915 save percentage and three shutouts. Additionally, he won his lone NHL start last season with Vancouver.

The San Diego, Calif., native is the Comets all-time leader in career and single-season wins.
