Canton Comes Back against Idaho

BOISE, Idaho, February 28, 2013 - Justin Holiday had a career-high 32 points, nine rebounds, six assists and six steals, but the Idaho Stampede lost to the Canton Charge 115-109 on Thursday. JaJuan Johnson added 24 points in his first action with Idaho (10-23) since being acquired in a trade on Feb. 25. Holiday's 32 points bested his 31-point night on Monday at Los Angeles.

Idaho led by as many as 20 in the first half before scoring just 12 third quarter points. The Stampede made just 5-of-20 field goals in the third, and allowed 50 percent shooting from the floor and seven made free throws, as the Charge took a four point lead after trailing by 15 at the half. Canton shot 55.8 percent in the second half and out-rebounded Idaho 21-14 while they forced nine Stampede turnovers. Idaho allowed the Charge to shoot 59.6 percent from the floor in quarters 2-4, after holding them to just 6-of-20 in the first quarter.

Canton (21-14) shot 52.4 percent from the floor and had six players score in double figures. Kevin Jones had 24 points and nine rebounds and Kyle Gibson added 19 points.

Coby Karl had 13 points and five rebounds and Sean Evans added 11 points for the Stampede. Reggie Hamilton, acquired just yesterday by Idaho, had nine points on 4-of-7 shooting, while Mustapha Farrakhan, also in his first game with the Stampede, had five points in 11 minutes.
