
San Antonio Spurs Re-Assign Aron Baynes to NBA D-League Affiliate Austin Toros

NEW YORK, Feb. 23, 2013 - The San Antonio Spurs today re-assigned center Aron Baynes to the Austin Toros, San Antonio's NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the record 135th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, while Baynes is one of the record 53 NBA players to be assigned to the NBA D-League this season.
Baynes (6-10, 260, Washington State) has played in eight games for the Spurs, averaging 1.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 5.6 minutes. Signed by San Antonio on Jan. 23, Baynes rejoins the Toros following a Feb. 1 assignment to the team, when he played in two games, averaging 18.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 27.5 minutes.
Baynes is expected to join the Toros today and be available when the team hosts the Iowa Energy tonight in Austin at 8:30 p.m. ET.
