The Hurricanes are once against taking on the Red Deer Rebels in the Hockey

- It's In Our Blood Challenge. The two teams have partnered with Canadian Blood Services in a Blood Battle to save lives. We're asking YOU to get into the game and give blood. Every minute of every day someone in Canada needs blood! Book an appointment this month and help everybody win!

Next Home Game:

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will return to the ENMAX Centre on Friday, February 5th when they welcome the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Hurricanes will play four of their next five games on the road, so get your tickets today.

THE WEEK THAT WAS

Wednesday, January 20th - 4-0 Win vs. Spokane: It was a rematch of the 1991 and 2008 WHL Final's on Wednesday and the Hurricanes picked up their first win over Spokane since November 8th , 2013. Brayden Burke picked up his first WHL hat-trick while Giorgio Estephan had a goal and three assists. Tyler Wong also chipped in with three helpers. Stuart Skinner earned a 32-save shutout.

Saturday, January 23rd - 4-3 OT Win vs. Moose Jaw: The Hurricanes capped off a wonderful night at the ENMAX Centre with a 4-3 overtime win over the Warriors on 'Bryce Salvador Night'. Giorgio Estephan and Brayden Burke continued their hot hand as they had three and four points respectively. Tyler Wong scored the overtime winner. Jayden Sittler made 32 saves in the victory to improve to 17-6-0-0 on the season.

Sunday, January 24th - 3-0 Win vs. Edmonton: The 'Canes earned their 10th straight victory on Sunday with a 3-0 shutout win over the Oil Kings. Stuart Skinner was lights out making 34 saves for his second consecutive shutout; Skinner has a shutout streak of 152:24. Estephan extended his point scoring streak to 14 games with a goal. Brayden Burke had an assist in the game as he potted his league-leading 74th point of the season.

THIS WEEK'S GAME SCHEDULE

Friday, January 29th - 8:05pm at Victoria: The Hurricanes will open a three-game BC Division road trip on Friday night when they make their final of two visits to Victoria to face the Royals. The Hurricanes will gun for their 11th straight victory. 'Canes earned a 4-3 shootout victory at the Save-On Foods Memorial Centre on October 27th in their first visit to the BC capital.

Saturday, January 30th - 8:00pm at Vancouver: It's the second of two visits to the Pacific Coliseum for the Hurricanes on Saturday. The Hurricanes picked up a 5-2 win against the Giants in their lone meeting of the season back on October 28th .

NEWS & NOTES

Gone Streakin':

The Hurricanes won their 10th straight game on Sunday against the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The 'Canes are undefeated in 2016 as they have won every game in January. In their last 17 games, the Hurricanes have posted a mind-boggling 16-1-0-0 record.

Breathing Room:

With 10 straight victories, the Hurricanes have begun to separate themselves from the

pack. The 'Canes have a three point lead on the Kelowna Rockets for top spot in the WHL's overall standings. They have a seven point cushion between them and Red Deer for the Central Division and Eastern Conference lead; 'Canes also have a game in hand on the Rebels.

Beast Mode:

Giorgio Estephan is on the biggest streak of his WHL career. The Edmonton product is

riding the longest active point scoring streak in the WHL at 14 games. During the streak, the Sabres draft pick has recorded 26 points (14g-12a)
