
Canaries sign former Triple-A pitcher

Lincoln, NE - The Sioux Falls Canaries have signed right-handed pitcher Peter Bauer. Bauer has spent parts of the past two seasons pitching at the Triple-A level.
Bauer was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the 2000 draft and went to the Florida Marlins organization in the 2003 Rule 5 minor league draft. In six years of professional baseball, the veteran from Maryland has compiled a 32-54 record.
Bauer will start for the Canaries tonight as they visit the Lincoln Saltdogs at Haymarket Park for the second game of a three-game series.
