
Canadiens Assign Bowman, Recall Tinordi

MONTREAL, QUE. - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned forward Drayson Bowman to the Bulldogs and have also recalled defenceman Jarred Tinordi from the Bulldogs.
In 11 games with Hamilton this season, Bowman has recorded six points (two goals, four assists) and five penalty minutes. The 25-year-old spent the 2013-14 season with the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes. In 70 regular season games with Carolina, the 6-0, 195-pound forward recorded 12 points (four goals, eight assists) and 16 penalty minutes. In 176 career NHL regular season games with the Hurricanes, the Grand Rapids, Mich. native has recorded 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) and 53 penalty minutes. In 197 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, Charlotte Checkers and Albany River Rats, he has recorded 116 points (58 goals, 58 assists) and 153 penalty minutes. Bowman was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the third round (72nd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Canadiens signed him to a one-year contract on Oct. 2, 2014.
Tinordi has split this season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In nine games with Montreal, he has recorded two assists and seven penalty minutes. In two games with Hamilton, he has recorded no points or penalty minutes. The 22-year-old also split the 2013-14 season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In 22 regular season games with Montreal, the 6-6, 225-pound defenceman recorded two assists and 40 penalty minutes. In 47 regular season games with Hamilton, the Burnsville, Minn. native recorded nine points (three goals, six assists) and 70 penalty minutes. In 39 career NHL regular season games with the Canadiens, he has recorded six assists and 49 penalty minutes. In 116 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, he has recorded 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) and 141 penalty minutes. Tinordi was selected by the Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday, Nov. 13 when they'll visit the St. John's IceCaps at Mile One Centre at 6 p.m. The 'Dogs will be back at home on Sunday, Nov. 16 when they'll host the Rochester Americans at FirstOntario Centre at 3 p.m.
