Detroit Reassigns Coreau to Walleye

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Sunday reassigned goaltender Jared Coreau from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

In four games with the Walleye this season, the 22-year-old Coreau has produced a 2.67 GAA, alongside a 3-1-0 record and a 0.900 save percentage. During his 2013-14 rookie campaign, the 6-foot-5, 235-pound netminder registered a 4.03 GAA in 20 games with the Walleye and a 4.39 GAA in five games with the Griffins.

Prior to being signed to a three-year entry-level contract by Detroit, Coreau spent three seasons with Northern Michigan University, where he posted a 15-19-4 record, a 2.70 GAA, a 0.919 save percentage and one shutout after starting in all 38 games during his junior year.
