(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - A two-run double from RF Nick Baligod in the bottom of the 3rd inning scored both 3B Kellen Sweeney and 1B Balbino Fuenmayor to give Vancouver a 4-3 victory over Salem-Keizer in the finale of a soggy six-game series out at Scotiabank Field on Tuesday.

Vancouver grabbed a pair of runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning when the Volcanoes committed a pair of key errors allowing both DH Jordan Leyland and 2B Dan Arcila to come around and count giving the Canadians an early 2-0 lead.

Salem-Keizer, looking for a three-game sweep of the Canadians, scored a trio of runs in the top of the 3rd inning which featured a two-run home run from 2B Steve Branca that scored 3B Stephen Yarrow to help the Volcanoes to their first lead of the game.

Vancouver would grab the lead back just minutes later when RF Nick Baligod hit his 5th double of the season with both 3B Kellen Sweeney (double) and 1B Balbino Fuenmayor (walk) on-base. The base hit would be the final scoring in the game.

Canadians RHP Ben White managed his 4th start of the summer going six innings, allowing three hits and three runs, all earned while striking out six for his second victory of the season. The combination of RHP Arik Sikula (1.0IP), RHP Ian Kadish (1.0IP) and RHP Drew Permison (1.0IP) would limit the Volcanoes offense to just a pair of hits to lock down the 11th win of the season for Vancouver.

With the victory, Vancouver improves to 11-7 (.611) on the season to remain 3 1/2 games back of the West Division leading Everett Aquasox (15-4) who topped Eugene Emeralds 5-4 in Washington State.
