Vancouver Canadians News Release
(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - If anyone doubted the Canadians resolve heading into their series finale vs. Everett, then Thursday's 5-4 victory in 10 innings should silence even the toughest of critics.
Vancouver fell behind early as once again the Aquasox struck early as they had in all three game's of the North Division series grabbing a pair of runs in the top of the 2nd off C's starter RHP Nick Fraze. SS Cesar Izturis drew a leadoff walk and scored seconds later on an RBI triple from 1B Cash Gladfelter. The very next batter, RF Cade Marlowe pounded a double to left center field that scored Gladfelter giving the Aquasox a 2-0 lead.
In the top of the 3rd Everett extended its lead with SS Cesar Izturis picking up his second straight base hit, this time off Canadians reliever RHP Jared DiCesare, and eventually scored on a single from CF Miguel Perez.
Vancouver ran into tough pitching from RHP Damon Casetta-Stubbs who dominated over his first five frames before walking the first two batters he faced in the 6th inning (SS Tanner Morris & 1B Yorman Rodriguez). The bullpen door swung open and the Aquasox brought in RHP Garrett Westberg who immediately went to work striking out 3B Ronny Brito. The next batter was RF Will Robertson who stunned Everett hitting a towering three-run home run to right field that evened the game at 3-3.

With two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the 9th inning - Everett's RHP Kipp Rollings was a long pitch away from securing the three-game sweep of the Canadians until C Brett Wright hit a solo home run onto the "Hey Y'all!" Porch just beyond the left field fence to tie the game at 4-4.

Canadians reliever RHP Parker Caracci held the fort in both the top of the 9th and 10th inning as the former Ole Miss closer didn't allow a hit and dodging a bases loaded situation in the 10th as the inning started as per MiLB rules with a runner at second base (2B Conner Hoover).
In the bottom of the 10th, the Canadians were afforded the same base runner (2B Luis De Los Santos) who with two outs scored on a base hit back up the middle from 3B Ronny Brito to give Vancouver a 5-4 victory over Everett.
