Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
Despite producing two hits on Wednesday night at Gesa Stadium the Tri-City Dust Devils (1-1, 17-23) came away with the 6-1 win over the Spokane Indians (1-1, 23-17). Tri-City reliever Wen-Hua Sung earned the first win of his professional career after tossing two scoreless innings in relief.
The Dust Devils translated two hits into six runs thanks to mistakes by Spokane. The Indians committed four costly errors and issued four walks. Both hits in the game for Tri-City were clutch doubles. Jason Pineda hit a double in the bottom of the second to drive in the first run of the night. In the bottom of the third inning Logan Driscoll had a two-RBI double for the team's second and final hit of the game. Spokane rallied to end Tri-City's shutout in the top of the ninth inning, but the Dust Devils closed out the win after allowing just one run.
