January 9, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Mississippi RiverKings News Release
The Mississippi RiverKings' Ryan Campbell has replaced teammate Aaron Davis on the Northern Conference All-Star Team.
Davis sustained an injury during the second period of Friday's game in Austin against the Ice Bats and has not played since.
Campbell's late addition to the Northern Conference roster will mark his first professional all-star appearance. The 28-year-old Edmonton native leads the RiverKings in assists with 21, points with 31, multiple-point games with nine, and multiple-assist games with five. Among the highlights this season, Campbell assisted on a goal in five straight games in November to set a career-high. He also has a pair of three-assist games this year.
In 175 regular season and playoff games for the RiverKings dating back to 2005-2006, Campbell has amassed 171 points on 69 goals and 102 assists.
The Rocky Mountain Rage will host the All-Star Banquet on Jan. 15 and the 2008 CHL All-Star Game on Jan. 16. Fans can buy tickets to both events at Broomfield Event Center by visiting Ticketmaster on the World Wide Web at ticketmaster.com.
