Cullaton, Bes Named Captains for CHL All-Star Game

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Rocky Mountain's Brent Cullaton and Laredo's Jeff Bes will serve as captains for the 2008 CHL All-Star Game in Broomfield, Colorado scheduled for next week. The captains were selected by the game's head coaches, Tracy Egeland of Rocky Mountain (Northern Conference Head Coach) and Marco Pietroniro of Arizona (Southern Conference Head Coach).

Cullaton will be playing in his third all-star game and is representing the home team Rocky Mountain Rage. This season, the Petawawa, Ontario native is tied for fifth in the league with 44 points and leads the league with 38 assists. Both of Cullaton's previous CHL All-Star Games were played as a member of the Laredo Bucks (2004, 2005). In his two all-star games, he has recorded a pair of assists.

Bes will also be playing in his third all-star game, all with the Bucks (2004, 2006). The Tillsonburg, Ontario native currently leads the CHL with 55 points and 23 goals. His +33 plus/minus rating is also tops in the league. Bes scored four goals in the 2006 CHL All-Star Game earning him Southern Conference Most Valuable Player honors. He has totaled four goals with three assists in his previous two all-star games.

The 2008 CHL All-Star Game will take place at the Broomfield Event Center in Broomfield, Colorado, home of the Rocky Mountain Rage, on Wednesday, January 16th. The game can be seen LIVE on the CHL Network with face-off scheduled for 7:05 PM (MST).
