
Cameron Smith joins Montgomery

MONTGOMERY -- The Montgomery Biscuits announced today that right-handed pitcher Cameron Smith has been received from Class AAA Durham. Catcher Graig Merritt has been placed on the temporary inactive list to make room for Smith on the roster.
Smith had been on the Durham Bulls roster until this point, going 1-2 with a 4.54 ERA (35.2 IP, 28 H, 24 R, 18 ER, 34 BB, 40 SO) in 26 relief appearances for the Bulls this season.
Merritt is hitting .105 (4-38) with 1 RBI in 17 games for the Biscuits this season. He will remain with the team.
