
Calgary Hitmen Announce New Partnerships for Sunday Funday Games

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen today announced their new partnership with Brookfield Residential as a presenting sponsor on Sunday Funday games. In addition, they have announced multiple promotional partners in TELUS Spark, Off the Beaten Path (OBP) Musical and The Costume Shoppe. These partnerships extend across the Calgary Wranglers hockey club who will also be hosting Sunday Funday games at the Scotiabank Saddledome this season.
"Brookfield is proud to be sponsoring the Sunday Funday and partnering with the Calgary Sports and Entertainment group. We are excited to be a part of the community!" said Mary Aucoin, Marketing Manager Alberta Communities, Brookfield Residential.
The classic Sunday Funday will be getting a new look this season as the Hitmen and Wranglers partner with TELUS Spark to bring in-game and concourse activities for fans every Sunday. This will include various science experiments as well as interactive activities put on by their fun cast of science educators.
"Science is all around us - even inside a hockey arena! We're excited to inspire and surprise hockey fans of all ages at Sunday Fundays." said Kyle Corner, Director of Creative Experiences, TELUS Spark Science Centre.
The clubs will also be introducing a new Sunday Funday in-arena Host, Tory Doctor. Tory's extensive background in acting along with his with company OBP Musical, will bring new fun to the Sunday Funday theme games. Outfitting Tory and the Scotiabank Saddledome staff is The Costume Shoppe, who will be coming on as a partner with the Calgary Hitmen for a third season.
Sunday Funday games have been a staple of Hitmen hockey, which include food and beverage deals and special ticket pricing. This includes a 2$ Sips & Snacks food and beverage menu and 6$ Happy Hour deals all game long. Tickets cost $11.99 for kids and $17.99 for adults. Pricing for Calgary Wranglers Sunday Funday games will be announced by the Club at a later date.
The first Sunday Funday of the season is this Sunday, October 2nd when the Hitmen welcome Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats. Game time is 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available at HitmenHockey.com/Tickets.
