C Eladio Rodriguez Added To Thunder Roster

(Akron, OH)- The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that C Eladio Rodriguez has been assigned to Trenton's roster from the roster of the Staten Island Yankees (New York-Penn). Rodriguez will take RHP Bo Hall's spot on the Trenton roster.

Rodriguez has played in one game this season for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (Triple-A). He went 1 x 3 @ Buffalo on 4/29. This is his first professional action since 2003, when he hit .227 for Sarasota (High-A) in 57 games with 2 HR and 20 RBI in the Boston Red Sox Minor League System. He was originally signed as a non-drafted FA by the Red Sox in April 24, 1998

The Thunder open a three-game series tonight against the Akron Aeros, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, in Akron. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. LHP Chase Wright (4-1, 2.95) starts for Trenton against Akron LHP Ryan Edell (1-2, 4.50).
