
Bulls Rout Reign, 5-1, for Third Straight Victory

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Marek Viedensky was the star of the show on Friday night, tallying two goals and two assists as the San Francisco Bulls defeated the Ontario Reign, 5-1, for their third consecutive win, in front of 4,128 at the Cow Palace. Peter Sivak chipped in with three points and Thomas Heemskerk turned aside 28 shots in a dominant effort by the Bulls against the Pacific Division leaders.
In the first period, the Bulls took the lead on the power play when Viedensky scored at 7:48. Sacha Guimond and Justin Bowers earned the assists on the goal. Ontario, however, countered with their own man-advantage tally on Derek Couture's sixth goal of the season at 12:12 of the first frame. The scoring in the period was not finished. The Bulls regained their one-goal lead when Alex Tuckerman scored with 3:04 left in the period. The goal was assisted by Sivak and Viedensky. The Bulls out-shot the Reign 15-7 in the first period.
The Bulls extended their lead in the second period when Viedensky scored his second goal of the night at 9:33 of the period. The goal was assisted by Sivak and Scott Langdon. With 8:35 remaining in the second period, the Bulls extended their advantage to a three-goal lead when Sivak scored his fifth goal of the season with assists going to Guimond and Bowers.
Dean Ouellet put the Bulls up 5-1 with his team-leading seventh goal at 8:46 of the third period. Viedensky picked up the lone assist.
The Bulls return to action tomorrow night at the Cow Palace when they take on the Stockton Thunder at 7:15 pm. The SF Firefighters Local 798 is setting up shop for a Toy Drive.
