Durham Bulls News Release

Durham, NC - Joe Inglett's RBI-single in the bottom of the 11th inning gave the Buffalo Bisons a 5-4 victory on Friday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The win was Buffalo's second in as many days as the Bulls dropped to 47-45.

RHP Seth McClung (1-4) walked Snyder to start the 11th inning, and Snyder then stole second and advanced to third on fly out. LHP Jeff Ridgway relieved McClung with two outs, but he gave up an RBI single to Inglett for the game-winning run. RHP Bubbie Buzachero retired the side in the bottom of the 11th inning to earn his first save of the season.

Jason Pridie had sent the game to extra innings after hitting a triple and then scoring on a sacrifice fly from Ben Zobrist, tying the game at four in the bottom of the ninth inning. RHP Edward Mujica (1-1) was charged with his third blown save of the season for surrendering the run, but he pitched a scoreless 10th inning to earn the win.

The Bisons had rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the top of the ninth inning to take a 4-3 lead. Snyder hit a triple two drive in two runs, and he scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch from RHP Chad Orvella, who was charged with his second blown save of the season.

The Bisons held a 1-0 lead for the first half of the game. Ryan Mulhern hit an RBI single in the first inning, but Chris Richard tied the game at one in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI double. The Bulls then scored two runs in the seventh inning when Jeremy Owens scored from third on a sacrifice bunt by Ben Zobrist and Justin Ruggiano drew a bases loaded walk, giving the Bulls the 3-1 advantage they eventually lost.

Bulls starter RHP Mitch Talbot surrendered just the first inning run, four hits, and a walk while striking out eight, but left after five innings since he had already thrown 106 pitches. LHP Aaron Laffey was in line to take the loss before the Bisons tied the game at three in the top of the ninth. He gave up three runs, eight hits, and two walks while striking out six in 6 1/3 innings.

The Bulls and Bisons will meet again on Sunday evening at 5 PM at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. For tickets, go to www.durhambulls.com or call the box office at (919) 956-BULL.
