The Somerset Patriots fell to the Portland Sea Dogs 5-1 on Thursday night at TD Bank Ballpark in game three of a six-game series at TD Bank Ballpark. The Patriots bullpen trio of Tommy Kahnle, Jack Neely, and Leonardo Pestana combined for 3 shutout IP with 5 K.

LHP Brock Selvidge (6 IP, 5 R, 4 H, 4 BB, 8 K) racked up 8 K's, his second highest total of the season, after an 11 K game @ REA on 4/27.

RHP Tommy Kahnle (1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 3 K) struck out the side in a perfect seventh inning. Thursday marked Kahnle's second rehab appearance with Somerset, over which he has struck out all six batters faced on only 24 total pitches. In three rehab appearances between Somerset and Class-A Tampa, Kahnle has 9 K over 4 perfect IP.

DH Ben Rice (1-for-3, RBI, 2B) plated the Patriot's sole run of the night with an RBI double in the 4th. In 17 home games this season, Rice is batting a team leading .323 with 6 HR, 16 R, and 11 RBI.

SS Oswald Peraza (0-for-4, BB, SB) walked and stole a base in his fourth rehab game with Somerset and seventh total.
