St. Cloud, MN.- Another one-run nail-biter between the St. Cloud Rox (31-20/12-5) and the Green Bay Bullfrogs (32-20/10-7) ended in victory for the visitors as Matt De La Rosa (Lenoir-Rhyne) stranded the bases loaded in the ninth to end the seven-game road stand.

Once again, the Bullfrogs received an unbelievable pitching performance from a starting pitcher. This time it was brought to you by Ryan Radue (UConn) who dealt six innings of three run baseball run en route to his fifth victory.

He commanded his curve ball, peppered fastballs on the corners, and had his first outing of six innings on the campaign, his longest as a starter through two seasons in the Northwoods League.

St. Cloud scored first after an error at third, and Mike Strem's (Boston College) groundout to second made it 1-0 Rox after two innings.

Green Bay responded with a three-run third inning as Mason George (UTSA) and Ty Blankmeyer (St. John's) walked, followed by a Logan Taylor single to load the bases. The Bullfrogs converted on a Robb Paller (Columbia) sacrifice fly and received a two-out RBI single from Danny Rosenbaum who is third on the team with 24 RBI. Green Bay went up 3-1 after three frames.

And the Bullfrogs continued to tack on more runs. With Matt De La Rosa (Lenoir-Rhyne) on first and Brian Celsi (California) on third, a double steal paid off to make it 4-1 Bullfrogs.

Another tally was recorded in the fifth when Logan Taylor (Louisville) scored his second run of the game on an error by the catcher Austin Athmann (Minnesota) giving Green Bay a strong 5-1 lead through five innings.

The game became closer when St. Cloud put up a three spot in the seventh inning. Ryan Radue exited after allowing a base hit and walk, setting up Jack Mahan (Eckerd) for some important late-innings relief work.

Mahan worked the bases loaded, but then struck out Reese Gregory (St. Cloud State). With one out, one run scored on a groundout to first, and two came in on a single from Brett Pope (Western Carolina) sending the score to just 5-4 Bullfrogs.

With another a slim lead late, the Bullfrogs could not score in the final two innings presenting the first save opportunity of the season to Matt De La Rosa (Lenoir-Rhyne).

A bit of an unexpected option in the bullpen, De La Rosa's fourth appearance was a success. For the second night straight, the Bullfrogs had two runners in scoring position with one out. On just three pitches and a filthy exclamation point slider, De La Rosa struck out Brandon Benson (Georgia College). And after forcing the bases loaded, ended the game on a deep fly out to center.

Green Bay latched on to their second straight win, and third against a North Division opponent this season. In the two games, starting pitchers, Brunner and Radue, combined for 13IP/3ER/13K-3BB.

Tomorrow at 12:05PM, the Bullfrogs welcome the first place Kenosha Kingfish to Joannes Stadium. The Bullfrogs are 3-1 against Kenosha on the season including a sweep in June in Green Bay.

Single game tickets are on sale now. Visit www.greenbaybullfrogs.com to purchase tickets. The Bullfrogs' business hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
