Green Bay Rockers News Release
Green Bay, Wis. - It's opening week in the Northwoods League, presented by Edvest. Last night the Bullfrogs fell to the Kenosha Kingfish 11-1. A great pitching performance by Austin Hancock and Peter Castillo put the Bullfrogs in a position to win going into the eighth inning but crucial errors led to a nine run inning for the Kingfish. The offense was unable to get their bats going last night as they only plated one run on five hits.
Tonight's game is a chance for the Bullfrogs to avenge last night's performance. Dakota Klein gets the ball for the Bullfrogs. The local player from Saumico, Wisconsin will be making his first start for the Bullfrogs and first appearance in the Northwoods League. The 6'4 left handed pitcher recently finished his freshman season at Texas A&M where he took a redshirt.
The Kingfish will send sophomore from UW-Stevens Point, Cole Erickson to the mound. Erickson started eight games in his second season, finishing with a 2-2 record, 2.35 ERA.
First pitched is at 7:05pm. Gates open at 6:05pm.
Tonight will be Strike Out Stroke Night featuring Post-Game Fireworks presented by Aurora Baycare Center. In addition, 107.5 The Fan presents The Working Man Special. One ticket, one brat, and two beers for $10.75. You can purchase your ticket for this game and the remaining Bullfrogs home games by calling or visiting our front office.
