
Bullfrogs Win Shortened Game against the Kingfish 7-2

Green Bay, Wis. - It's opening week presented by Edvest and The Bullfrogs have picked up their second win of the season. The Bullfrogs beat the Kenosha Kingfish 7-2 in a shortened ballgame. The game was called in the top of the 7th due to rain and lightning.
Dakota Klein got the start for the Bullfrogs and went four strong innings for the Bullfrogs, giving up one run. As the Bullfrogs headed into the bottom of the third, they were chasing two runs. Hamilton led off the inning with a double, Greco struck out and Botsoe flew out. Laren Eustace came up to the plate with two outs, Eustace made a big splash in his first game for the Bullfrogs as he took the Erickson curveball deep to left field for a two-run homerun.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the game tied at 2-2, Hunter Owen started the inning off with a triple. Colton Onstott was next up for the Bullfrogs, he grounded out to the second baseman JD Hearns driving in Owen to take the lead 3-2.
Luke VanLanen entered the game for the Bullfrogs and threw two scoreless innings and kept the Kingfish out of the run column. In the bottom of the 6th, the Bullfrogs bats woke up and they put together a strong inning. Shoemaker led off with a single, next two Bullfrogs hitters got out. Next up was Kanemaru, he worked a two out walk. With runners at first and third, Biermann hit an RBI single to plate Shoemaker. Hamilton then hit his second double of the game, Kanemaru and Biermann score. The Bullfrogs ended up scoring their fourth and final run of the inning off an O'Brien error off the about of Ray Greco.
Logan Elliot was on the mound for the Bullfrogs when the umpires called for the weather delay. After an hour the umpires called the game due to severe weather.
The Bullfrogs will be back in action tomorrow night, on the road, against the Lakeshore Chinooks. First pitched slated for 6:35pm.
