
Bullfrogs Finish up Road Trip against Mallards

Green Bay, Wis. - The long road trip is about to come to an end for the Bullfrogs tonight in Madison. Beginning back on Sunday, the Bullfrogs have faced three different opponents. Their current record on the road trip is 2-4, overall record 6-12. The Bullfrogs fell to the Eau Claire Express 9-1 last night.
The Bullfrogs fell behind early to the Express and were unable to mount a comeback. Dakota Klein (Texas A&M) got the start for the Bullfrogs, the freshman threw into the fourth and allowed one earned run. The bullpen for the Bullfrogs were unable to keep the Express off the scoreboard as they scored six more runs in the final four innings of play.
Randell Kanemaru (Columbia) led the Bullfrogs offense as he went three for four with two doubles. Chris Botsoe (Louisville) and Marcus Shoemaker (Lenoir-Rhyne) picked up hits for the Bullfrogs while Jonah Davis (UC-Berkeley) drove in the only run on the night.
Caleb Boushley (UW La Crosse) pitched a strong game against the Bullfrogs. The right-hander struck out 11 batters over the course of seven scoreless innings. Boushley got the first six outs of the ballgame via the strikeout.
Tonight the Bullfrogs go into the Madison to face the leaders of the South Division. Luke Lind (North Dakota State) will get his fourth start of the season. In his last start against the Growlers, Lind was spectacular. He threw eight innings, the last seven scoreless. On the season, Lind is 1-0 with a 0.52.
Justin Watts (Northern Kentucky) will get the ball for the Bullfrogs. In three starts this year, Watts is 2-1 with a 8.18 ERA. In his last start, he picked up the win as he went six innings against the Woodchucks.
First pitch is at 6:35pm.
