The AHL's North Division leading Hamilton Bulldogs will look to gain further ground in standings this week, as they will play three games. Hamilton will take on the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks on Wednesday, Dec. 17th in their first home weekday game of the season. The Bulldogs will then play their cross-border division rivals, the Rochester Americans, at the Blue Cross Arena on Friday, Dec. 19th (7:35 p.m.) and on Sunday, Dec. 21st (6:05 p.m.)

THE HAMILTON SPECTATOR / Y108 STUFFED ANIMAL DAY WAS A SUCCESS:

Hamilton Bulldogs fans tossed 2.067 toys onto the ice during the sixth annual 'The Hamilton Spectator / Y108 Stuffed Animal Day' on Sunday. Fans threw the toys on the playing surface after Bulldogs' forward Benoit Gratton scored the Bulldogs first goal on Sunday. All stuffed animals will be donated to Hamilton area charities this week.

GRATTON BECOMES BULLDOGS 10TH ALL-TIME LEADING SCORER:

Bulldogs captain Benoit Gratton became the Bulldogs tenth all-time leading scorer when he scored in the first period of Sunday's 4-2 win over Manitoba. Gratton earned his 91st career Bulldogs point and surpassed former Bulldogs' forward Jani Rita (46-44-90). Gratton later earned an assist in the contest to give him 92 points on 35 goals and 67 assists in 67 career games played in Hamilton.

ARCHER EARNS FIRST CAREER POINT:

Bulldogs rookie defenceman Andrew Archer earned his first professional point when he assisted on Tomas Plekanec's game-winning goal in Sunday's game versus Manitoba. Archer has played five games for the Bulldogs this season.

BULLDOGS POWER PLAY SOARING:

The Hamilton Bulldogs have the AHL's sixth best power play operating at 16.4% success rate (21 for 128). Hamilton has scored seven power play goals in the past five games.

JOE CAHILL HOSTS 'DOGBITES WEELY RADIO SHOW on 820 CHAM - MONDAYS

Legendary radio personality Joe Cahill hosts 'DOGBITES - a weekly half-hour Hamilton Bulldogs radio show every Monday at 7:30 p.m. on Hamilton's 820 CHAM. Bulldogs play-by-play announcer Derek Wills will join Joe Cahill. The weekly show will feature Bulldogs interviews, highlights from the past week and much more.

BULLDOGS FOOD DRIVE CONTINUES:

The Hamilton Bulldogs 2003 Food Drive is well underway and it will continue throughout December. All fans donating non-perishable food items will receive a coupon, which will allow them to receive one free Bulldogs ticket with the purchase of an adult Bulldogs ticket for select December games. The coupon will be valid for the following games:

Wednesday, December 17th vs. Cincinnati Mighty Ducks - 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, December 23rd vs. Philadelphia Phantoms - 7:00 p.m.

Bulldogs fans can drop off their non-perishable food items during the month of December at the Bulldogs office at 101 York Boulevard during business hours (Monday to Friday - 9am to 5 pm) and at the Copps Coliseum Box Office prior to Bulldogs' home games. The non-perishable food items will be stored in a 53 foot Bulldogs 'ATS Transportation' trailer, which is parked on the side York Boulevard. The non-perishable food items will be donated to Children's Aid Society, Martha House, Mission Services and Salvation Army.

Cincinnati Mighty Ducks at Hamilton Bulldogs - Wednesday, December 17 - 7:00 p.m.

This game marks the first of four meetings between the Bulldogs and Mighty Ducks ... Cincinnati currently has a record of (10-13-3-0) on the season ... the Mighty Ducks are led offensively by Tony Martensson, who has posted 18 points (4-14-18) in 24 games ... Stoney Creek native and defenceman Mark Popovic has skated in 26 games for Cincinnati and has posted a goal and an assist, along with 18 penalty minutes ... all-time the Bulldogs have earned 14 wins, 9 losses and 5 ties versus the Mighty Ducks ... Hamilton Bulldogs at Rochester Americans - Friday, December 19 - 7:35 p.m.; Sunday, December 21- 6:05 p.m.

The Bulldogs have earned a record of three wins and two losses versus the Amerks this season ... Sunday's game will mark the Bulldogs final visit to Rochester this regular season ... Amerks leading scorer Derek Roy (9-14-23) was recalled by the Buffalo Sabres last week ... Tomas Plekanec leads all Bulldogs scorers versus Rochester with 5 points (2g-3a-5pts) ... Rochester has surrendered only 2.08 goals per game this season ... the Bulldogs next play the Amerks on February 4th at Copps Coliseum
