Bulldogs Release Mark Van Guilder

HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that the club has released forward Mark Van Guilder from his Professional Tryout (P.T.O.) contract.

Van Guilder, 25, played in three games with Hamilton posting one assist and no penalty minutes. In 55 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL this season, he leads the team in points with 57 (20 goals, 37 assists) along with 14 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 186-pound forward also skated in five games with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL in 2008-2009, recording no points and no penalty minutes. The native of Roseville, Minnesota spent the previous four seasons playing for Notre Dame in the NCAA where he amassed 98 points (42 goals, 56 assists) and 76 penalty minutes in 163 games.

The Hamilton Bulldogs continue their five-game road trip tomorrow evening at 8:05 p.m. EST when they battle the Iowa Chops.
