HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs started a tour of Northern Ontario with a 5-2 win in North Bay on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs got on the board as Mackenzie Entwistle (2) slipped a quick wrist shot home at 9:09 to give Hamilton a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs went up 2-0 on the power-play at 15:50 as Matthew Strome (16) tipped home a shot from the point. North Bay cut the lead to 2-1 at 17:06, but Hamilton responded 36-seconds later at 17:42 as Marian Studenic (13) used some slick stickhandling to make it 3-1 after 1.

The two teams settled into playing defense in a scoreless 2nd period as the Black and Gold took a 3-1 lead into the 3rd period.

The Battalion cut the lead to 3-2 at 8:36 of the 3rd period, but then North Bay's Brad Chenier took a 5-minute major penalty for slew footing putting Hamilton on the power-play. First Ben Gleason (5), celebrating his 200th career OHL game, blasted one home from the point at 13:28 and then Arthur Kaliyev (13) went top shelf on the man advantage at 14:08 to make it 5-2 to finish the scoring.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve their season record to 19-7-3-3.
