Bulldogs Look to Cool IceCaps

This week, the Hamilton Bulldogs continue their 12-game road trip with back-to-back away games against the St. John's IceCaps (AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets) on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 at 6 p.m. EDT and Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 at 6 p.m. EDT at Mile One Centre. The 'Dogs then travel to Grand Rapids to take on the Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) at Van Andel Arena on Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

At all Sunday Hamilton Bulldogs home games, fans can purchase a "Pizza Pizza Family Pack", which includes four tickets to the game and a $20.00 food and beverage voucher for only $60.00! The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated by the Toronto Marlies 5-0 at Copps Coliseum on Cogeco night on Friday, March 9th, 2012. Nathan Lawson made 18 saves in the annual Pink in the Rink game while Andreas Engqvist and Philip DeSimone led the 'Dogs with three shots each. Philippe Dupuis recorded a goal and an assist for the Marlies.

The Hamilton Bulldogs earned a point in a 2-1 overtime loss against the Toronto Marlies at RICOH Coliseum on Saturday, March 10th, 2012. Frederic St-Denis recorded his fourth goal of the season and Nathan Lawson stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced. Toronto's Mike Zigomanis scored his 18th of the season, the overtime game winner for the Marlies.

C Joonas Nattinen has recorded seven points (5 goals, 2 assists) in his past eleven games. D Zach FitzGerald is currently ranked first in penalty minutes in the AHL with 212. Hamilton has a 33-25-1-2-4 all-time record against Grand Rapids. LW Gustav Nyquist currently leads the Griffins with 55 points (20 goals, 35 assists). Former Bulldogs: None. - Montreal C Tomas Plekanec recorded a goal against the Calgary Flames (Mar. 6), set up a goal vs. the Edmonton Oilers (Mar. 8) and picked up an assist against the Vancouver Canucks (Mar. 10)

- Montreal LW Max Pacioretty scored two goals and recorded an assist vs. the Flames (Mar. 6), added to his point total with two tallies and one assist against the Oilers (Mar. 8) and picked up two helpers vs. the Canucks (Mar. 10)

- Montreal C Blake Geoffrion recorded his first goal and point as a Canadien against the Canucks (Mar. 10)

- Nashville RW Andrei Kostitsyn picked up two assists vs. the Los Angeles Kings (Mar. 6), and scored two goals against the Detroit Red Wings (Mar. 10)

- Nashville LW Sergei Kostitsyn recorded a goal vs. the Kings (Mar. 6), scored one goal against the Colorado Avalanche (Mar. 8), and picked up two helpers vs. the Red Wings (Mar. 10)

- St. Louis G Jaroslav Halak earned a win over the Chicago Blackhawks, making 19 saves (Mar. 6), stopped 24 shots against the Anaheim Ducks for the win (Mar. 8) and made 33 saves to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets (Mar. 11)
