Bulldogs Capture Division after 4-2 Win over Philadelphia

The Hamilton Bulldogs clinched the Canadian Division title with a 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phantoms in front of 6,242 fans at Copps Coliseum on Friday night.

With the win, the Bulldogs record improves to 44 wins, 10 losses, 6 ties and 4 overtime. Hamilton continues to lead the AHL with 98 points.

Leading the way offensively for the Bulldogs was Michael Ryder who scored two goals. Ryder has scored 21 goals since the new year. Also scoring for Hamilton were Jason Ward and Mike Bishai.

Philadelphia goals came from Peter White and Peter Vandermeer.

In goal Eric Fichaud earned his 12th win of the season as he made 21 saves. Philadelphia goaltending duties were split up between Neil Little (19 shots, 15 saves) and Antero Niittymaki (13 shots, 13 saves).

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action takes place on Sunday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m when they host the Manitoba Moose.
