Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ON - Nathan Lawson made 39 saves to backstop the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Texas Stars.
The first period was a high-shooting scoreless affair, with the Stars edging the 'Dogs 15-14 on the shot-clock.
But the Bulldogs would be the first to score. Ryan White carried the puck along the boards into the Texas zone before cutting to the net and burying the puck past Stars goaltender Tyler Beskorowany at 9:59 into the second period. With 12 seconds left in the second period, White scored his second of the game. He skated the puck behind the Texas net, shooting from the far boards to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.
The Bulldogs tested Beskorowany a total of 27 times this game. Lawson earned the 'Dogs fourth shutout of the season with his 39 saves.
