Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that they have reached an agreement with Montreal radio station ‘The Team 990' to broadcast Hamilton Bulldogs regular season games for the second straight season. ‘The Team 990' will simulcast a total of 16 Hamilton Bulldogs regular season contests. The first game to air on ‘The Team 990' will be tonight, Thursday, November 3, when the Bulldogs face the Toronto Marlies at the Air Canada Centre at 7:30 p.m.

"The Hamilton Bulldogs are pleased to continue their partnership with ‘The Team 990,' said Brian Lewis, the Bulldogs Executive Director of Operations. "In addition to further promoting the Bulldogs and the American Hockey League, this extension of our broadcast allows fans of the Montreal Canadiens the opportunity to follow the team's prospects more closely."

Ellery Award winning broadcaster Derek Wills will provide the play-by-play call of every regular season game with Hamilton radio personality Al Craig providing the colour commentary.

"We're thrilled that the Hamilton Bulldogs are back on ‘Montreal's Sports Authority' for a second straight season, said Wills. "During the NHL lockout, Al Craig and I were proud to have the opportunity to not only bring the excitement of the American Hockey League to hockey-hungry fans in Montreal, but to also keep Canadiens fans current on the progress of prospects such as Tomas Plekanec, Chris Higgins, and Mike Komisarek, who have now graduated into the National Hockey League. This season, we look forward to doing the same by giving Montreal Canadiens fans an opportunity to follow future Habs like Andrei Kostitsyn, Corey Locke, and Andre Benoit by tuning into the Team 990."

Wayne Bews, General Manager of ‘The Team 990', stated "The Team 990 is thrilled to once again offer Montrealers an opportunity to catch the Habs stars of the future in action every week. Last season, we were proud to present exclusive coverage of the Hamilton Bulldogs, giving hockey fans a chance to follow future Montreal Canadiens."

Every Hamilton Bulldogs game can be heard live on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, Hamilton's 820 CHAM ‘The Legend.' Audio and video cybercasts of every Bulldogs game are also available via the Internet at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com.

The Bulldogs next home game will take place on Saturday, November 5, at 7:00 p.m., when the Toronto Marlies visit Copps Coliseum.
