Peoria Rivermen News Release

Peoria, IL (November 3, 2005) - St. Louis Blues Senior Vice-president and General Manager Larry Pleau today announced that the Blues have removed forward Eric Boguniecki from the injured-reserve list and added him to their 23-man roster. The Blues have assigned Boguniecki to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen, for conditioning purposes.

Boguniecki, 30, is expected to play for Peoria this Friday and Saturday against the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, and he will wear sweater number 42 as a Riverman. Last season, the 5-8, 194-pound right wing played for both the Worcester IceCats of the AHL (30 games) and the Langenthal club of the Swiss-2 League (10 games). The native of New Haven, Connecticut, won the Les Cunningham Award as the AHL's regular-season most valuable player for the 2001-02 season, during which he recorded 84 points (38 goals, 46 assists) and 181 penalty minutes in 63 games with Worcester. Boguniecki was originally the Blues' sixth choice, 193rd overall, in the 1993 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and is celebrating its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
