Budweiser Man of the Match: Lebo Moloto Finds His First Goal of 2019 in 1-1 Draw with Charlotte

NASHVILLE- Lebo Moloto was the one to answer when Nashville SC found itself down by one early in the first half against the Charlotte Independence on Saturday night at First Tennessee Park.
A 15th-minute stunner from Charlotte required urgency from Nashville considering the home team had dominated the first half until that moment. After the Independence scored against the run of play, Moloto responded just eight minutes later with an unassisted close-range goal. Charlotte goalkeeper Curtis Anderson deflected Kharlton Belmar's initial shot, but the rebound fell directly into Moloto's path as he crashed the net.
While Moloto's goal was his first of the season, it marked the team's 19th total in 2019 and the ninth goal in its last three games.
Following the draw, Nashville SC will travel south for a midweek match up against Birmingham Legion FC on Wednesday, May 22 in its first of four consecutive road games.
