Bucks Re-New Rivalry With \'Bugs Tonight

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will host their big-time rival Bossier-Shreveport tonight at the LEC on Boy Scout Night. All Boy Scouts and their families are invited to attend. Group tickets start at $10, call 718-BUCK (2825) to order tickets. There is no parking charge, and come enjoy the "One Buck Dollar Menu".

The Bucks will attempt to win their third straight game tonight, and increase their lead in the Southeast Division. Entering tonight Laredo has a one-point lead on Rio Grande Valley (14 to 13) in the division.

Laredo picked up their second straight win on their season-long seven-game home stand last night, when they scored two third period goals to beat Wichita 2-1. Steve Weidlich struck for the game-winner on the power-play with 8:38 remaining, while rookie netminder Ryan Gibb set aside 20 of 21 Thunder shots for the win.

Jeff Bes needs one more assist to earn 300 in a Buck uniform. Bes is fifth in the CHL in scoring with 18 points (3-15=18). His 15 assists lead the league.

The Mudbugs enter tonight's tilt having squandered a two-goal lead against Texas last night, falling in overtime 5-4. Bossier had four different goal scorers last night in the loss.

Kevin Cooper (7-8=15) and Joe Blaznek (6-9=15) each have 15 points to lead the Mudbugs.

There is a post game skate with the entire Bucks team immediately following the contest.

*Bucks To Accept Peso At 10 To 1 On Nov. 20*

The Bucks will accept the Peso at 10 to 1 at the ticket window on November 20th, as they celebrate Dia de Revolucion night at the LEC. It will also be Big Buck Thirsty Thursday, where beer is $2 all night.

The holiday celebration at the LEC does not stop with just the special peso exchange rate. The Bucks will wear special Dia de revolucion jersey's that will be auctioned off after the game, there will be mariachi music, and a fiesta atmosphere all night long.

There is free parking at the LEC for all events, and the Bucks are offering a special "One Buck Dollar Menu" all season long, with five items costing $1.
