
Bucks Rally Past Thunder

LAREDO, TX- The Wichita Thunder fell 2-1 to the Laredo Bucks on Friday night at the Laredo Events Center.
Jordan Hack gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead with his third goal of the season coming at the 13:34 mark in the first period. Wichita carried the lead through the second thanks to the work of the Thunder penalty kill unit. Wichita killed off 1:26 of a five on three Bucks' power play late in the second to stay ahead 1-0 after two periods.
Bobby Russell tied it for Laredo at 5:12 in the third. Steve Weidlich scored the game winner on the power play at 11:22.
The Thunder had their string of consecutive games with a power play goal end at seven, going 0-7 on the man advantage.
The Thunder travel further south to take on the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees tomorrow nigt. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. central time.
