Laredo took care of a powerful Rocky Mountain team Friday night, posting a 7-1 win. Six different players tallied two or more points in the contest for the Bucks.
The Bucks broke the game open in the second period, scoring five times. Of the five second period goals, three were on the power-play with the other coming short-handed.
Rookie Darryl Smith picked up a hat trick in his first professional game, with fellow rookie Jason Dixon adding two goals and one assist.
Veteran Jeff Bes is back to his old tricks, as he handed out four assists last night in Laredo's romp over the Rage.
Laredo's All-Star goaltender Sebastien Centomo was as good as advertised, as he set aside 31 of 32 Rocky Mountain shot attempts.
The Mudbugs meanwhile took care of business at home as well, as they beat the Texas Brahmas 5-1 Friday night.
Bossier had four different players who picked up two points or more, with Kevin Cooper leading the way with one goal and two assists. The Mudbugs had five different goal scorers in last night's win, as Cooper, Chris Brassard, Joe Blaznek, Neil Poulsen, and Dale Lupul lit the lamp.
Ken Carroll had another big game for the Mudbugs last night, as he stopped 37 of the Brahmas 38 shots.
America's Got Talent Finalist Butterscotch will be performing at the LEC once again tonight. On Friday she impressed the Laredo fan's with her multiple talents of beatboxing, piano playing, and singing.
