The Bucks, who have won eight out of their last 10 games, look to get back on track tonight after losing 6-2 to Bossier-Shreveport last Saturday night.

Laredo never led in the game and trailed 4-1 after the first period. The Bucks defense struggled, as Kevin Beech stopped just two of six shots he faced before being lifted in favor of John Ceci. Ceci set aside 16 of 18 Mudbugs shots.

James Hiebert scored the Bucks league-leading 11th shorthanded goal of the season, and Jeff Bes scored a power-play goal late in the third period to make it a 6-2 final.

The Bucks will be without the services of Hiebert tonight as he stayed in Laredo, he will be back in the line-up Saturday night in Austin.

With his goal in the loss Bes increased his CHL-leading point total to 59 (24-35=59), while Andrew Desjardins has moved up to second in the CHL among rookie scorers. Desjardins now has 35 points (13-22=35).

The Bucks will have all-star goaltender Dustin Traylen back this weekend, but he may not play until Sunday. Traylen missed Laredo's last three games with an injury. He started in Wednesday's all-star game and stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced.

The Blazers come into tonight looking to move above the .500 mark, and climb into playoff position in the North. Oklahoma is five points out of the final playoff spot.

Oklahoma City has lost six of their last 10 games, including a 3-2 home loss to Wichita last Sunday.

In the loss to the Thunder Marty Standish, and Dallas Flaman scored for the Blazers.

Mike Burgoyne leads the Blazers in scoring with 39 points (16-23=39).

The Blazers are a much better team when they are at home; they are 10-5-3 at the Ford Center, and just 6-11-1 on the road.

Besides missing Hiebert for tonight's game, the Bucks will also be without David Walker, who is out with an injury, and rookie Alex Penner, who will begin serving his 10-game suspension for his hit against Bossier-Shreveport's Matt York Saturday night.
