Hounds Acquire Two Players

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - Youngstown SteelHounds Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kaminski announced today the signings of forward Chris Ferazzoli and defenseman Andrew Scampoli. As per team policy terms of the deal will not be disclosed. Both players come to Youngstown from the Indiana Ice Miners of the Mid Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL). In a separate transaction defenseman Milan Maslonka and forward Jason Baird have been placed on the 14 day injured reserve list.

Ferazzoli, 27, has 21 goals and 38 assists in 23 games for the Ice Miners. Scampoli, 22, has five goals and 19 assists in 22 games. Prior to turning pro he played NCAA Division III Hockey at Becker College.

The Hounds will host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:05 tonight. It is the annual food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank and the Hounds will also wear special military jerseys.
