Buch Activated off Disabled List

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (AUGUST 15, 2011) - The Winston-Salem Dash announced today that RHP Ryan Buch has been activated off the disabled list. There is no corresponding roster move at this time.
Buch comes off of a rehab appearance with Rookie Bristol in which he made three starts and didn't allow a run. He gave up two hits and struck out 13 in eight innings with the White Sox. He was originally placed on the disabled list on June 27 with an inflamed right rotator cuff.
The Yardley, PA native started the season in low-A Kannapolis, where he was 4-3 with a 3.65 ERA in eight starts. He led the South Atlantic League with two complete games. He quickly made his presence felt upon his promotion to Winston-Salem in late May. In his first start on May 24, Buch surrendered only one run on seven hits in six innings against Lynchburg. Against Potomac on May 30, Buch got his first win, throwing 6.2 no-hit innings. After the win, Buch lost four of his next five decisions.
The Dash roster is now at the Carolina League limit of 25 players.
