
Bruins skate to victory in Lowell

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins and Lowell Lock Monsters played the third game of their 10-game season series on Saturday night at Tsongas Arena, with the Bruins battling hard for a 3-1 victory. The win improved the Bruins' season record to 9-7-2-2 (22 points), keeping them in fourth place in the Atlantic Division.
Bruin left wing Andy Hilbert notched his 11th goal of the season 34 seconds into the second period. He also assisted on Brad Boyes' game-winning power play goal in the second period. Ben Guite added an empty net goal to seal the win at 19:15 of the third period.
Goaltender Hannu Toivonen stopped 40 shots to improve to 8-7-1 on the season.
The Bruins visit the Hartford Wolf Pack on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. All the action will be broadcast live on WDDZ AM-550 and online at www.providencebruins.com.
The Bruins return home to host the Manchester Monarchs on Friday, December 3 at 7:05 p.m. The game will be the second of six to be televised live on COX Sports Television. The Bruins also host the Hershey Bears on Sunday, December 5 at 4:05 p.m.
