
Bruins host Lowell Wednesday

The Providence Bruins begin a stretch of four home games in five nights on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:05 p.m., when they face off with the Lowell Lock Monsters in the sixth game of the Atlantic Division rivals' 10-game season series. The Bruins are 3-0-0-2 against Lowell this season, and have taken at least one point in 25 consecutive games (18-0-3-4) against the Lock Monsters. The Bruins' last loss in regulation to the Monsters was a 6-1 defeat in Lowell on April 7, 2002. Lowell is currently in third place in the division with its 30-16-1-5 record (66 points), three points ahead of the Bruins (27-20-3-6).
Providence Bruins defenseman Darrel Scoville, right wing Pat Leahy and team mascot Samboni will appear at the Warwick Mall on Thursday, February 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The players will be located in the Center Court, and will be available for autographs and pictures, free of charge. There will also be autographed Bruins hats and a game-worn Brandon Smith jersey raffled to lucky winners.

LOWELL: C Eric Staal ranks eighth in AHL scoring with 17-40-57 totals...RW Chuck Kobasew ranks fifth in the league with 27 goals...LW Colin Forbes ranks second in the AHL with a +30 rating, while Staal ranks third (+29) and Kobasew is tied for fourth (+28)...G Cam Ward leads the AHL with a .936 save percentage, and ranks fifth with a 2.01 GAA.
The Bruins also host the Portland Pirates on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m., and the Manchester Monarchs on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. Fans with tickets to the Bruins-Portland game on January 23 should use those tickets for Saturday's game.
