
Bruins fall to Worcester

The Providence Bruins played the first of four straight road games on Friday night in Worcester, falling to the Worcester IceCats in a hard-fought 5-2 loss. Two of the IceCats' goals came with the Bruins' net empty late in the third period. The Bruins are in sixth place in the Atlantic Division with their 2-3-1-1 record (6 points).
Bruin left wing Jay Henderson scored his first goal of the season, his first as a Bruin since December 27, 2002. Fellow winger Andy Hilbert added his team-leading sixth goal of the season.
Bruin goaltender Hannu Toivonen stopped 30 shots in taking the loss and is now 2-3-0 on the season.
The Bruins continue their four-game road trip when they take on the Norfolk Admirals on Friday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. before heading to Hershey, Pennsylvania. The Bruins face off with the Bears on Saturday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m. The action for all four games will be broadcast live on WDDZ AM-550, and the team website, www.providencebruins.com.
The Bruins return home to host the Hershey Bears on Friday, November 12 at 7:05 p.m. Fans will receive a free Providence Bruins magnet schedule, courtesy of Shaw's Supermarkets.
