Orlando City SC News Release
lando City is set to take on the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field and it will be an entirely new look for the Lions tonight.
With a cross-country trip following Sunday's match in Atlanta, a second consecutive match on turf, and a third match of the week upcoming at home this Sunday, James O'Connor has made a change at every position from the lineup three days ago.
In goal, Greg Ranjitsingh will get his first MLS start tonight. Ranjitsingh was signed this offseason and formerly played for O'Connor in Louisville.
With four in the back we'll see Danilo Acosta, Shane O'Neill, Lamine Sané, and Kyle Smith. Acosta started the first three matches for City in 2019, but has yet to see the field since. Kyle Smith has also seen limited minutes since starting the first two matches of the season, although he did play 32 minutes in Atlanta on Sunday.
In the midfield Uri Rosell, Sacha Kljestan, and Dillon Powers will team up. Tonight will be Powers' first minutes of the season and first MLS start for lando City since October 22nd, 2017.
Up top you'll see the young trio of Josue Colmán, and rookies Santiago Patiño and Benji Michel. Colmán's start is his first of the season. Michel's will make his first MLS start. The three have a combined age of just 63.
Starting XI presented by lando Health: Ranjitsingh, Acosta, O'Neill, Sané, Smith, Rosell, Kljestan, Powers, Colmán, Patiño, Michel.
Bench: Dwyer, Grinwis, Higuita, Miller, Moutinho, Mueller, Méndez.
