FORT MILL, S.C. - June 2, 2008 - Knights couldn't hold an early lead as they fell 7-6 to visiting Richmond at Knights Stadium. With the loss the Knights have lost seven of their last eight.
Charlotte led the game with Knights LHP Wes Whisler on the mound in the third inning, scoring five runs. The inning was highlighted by a three-run homerun by second baseman Danny Richar.
Richmond came back with a five-run inning of their own in the seventh. The Knights didn't help their cause as they committed a season high four errors.
The Knights continue their homestand with the Pawtucket Red Sox tomorrow at 7:15. Knights starter RHP Tomo Okha (1-8, 5.46) takes on RHP Devern Hansack (2-6, 5.62) for Pawtucket.
